The Wonderful World of Waverly

Waverly

Waverly left this earth on March 8, 2002.

She was a wonderful little dog and the best friend I've ever had.
There are no words to express the grief I feel in a world without her. She was not just easy to love, but to love madly and deeply. My heart is broken.

Waverly's Family

On November 17th, 1999 Waverly gave birth to a beautiful litter of pups. There were three boys (Helmut, Hamlet and Heffernan) and five girls (Tuptim Blue, Lilybell, Bronwyn, Maisy and Matilda.) She also had two pups who went straight to heaven (Hush Puppy and Wednesday.)

Helmut and Tuptim Blue (aka Bluebell) stayed here to live with us.

Helmut

Helmut is a very good boy.  He loves to eat and sleep and likes to be hugged.  He is very shy.  He has had one great love in his life and it was Sneaker the Cat.  Unfortunately she passed away and now Helmut is very sad.

Tuptim Blue

Bluebell is a very naughty little dog.  She is very smart and she doesn't mind very well at all.  She loves to kiss, loves to growl at people and has a real sweet tooth.

Harley Anne

Harley is the granddaughter of Waverly.  She is the the daughter of Waverly's son, who we called Heffernan.  His name is now Pinto.

Harley's nickname is Snag Bag - because she has jagged little teeth.

The Greatest of the Great!

Waverly taught me a lot about love.  She used to do the funniest things.  If I was one the computer too long she would slap the keyboard off the table with her paw.  When I would be getting ready for a trip, she would unpack my clothes because she didn't want me to go.

I feel sorry for anyone who hasn't REALLY known a dog.  They are great - and she was the greatest of the great.

Her legacy lives on...

Two generations of Waverly offspring live in my house.  It is a blessing and a comfort to have them here.  She is gone but will no way be forgotten.  I honor her everyday.
